“ The best! We ordered online, and showed up at pickup time. Unfortunately their internet was down, but they made our food FAST! Amazing and very sweet employees, incredible food, and a patio to enjoy the shade was perfect. There was a constant stream of cars getting lunch while we visited, and I can see why! We tried the Tsunami, the Mini Monster, and the Tot Poppers. Highly recommend. Because of the line, maybe order ahead online if you’re in a rush. Otherwise, just enjoy the wait because it’s worth it! ”
“ I love coming to Hal's HB, been coming here since the 1970's. Was so awesome to see Hal's still going strong in 2025 on my visit to Pendleton. I didn't take a picture of Hal's because I was driving back to Boise. But I did get a nice video of main street and random people. Notice the video starts at where the old Cinderella slipper shop was, way way back. ”

Living not to far away I've recently come up with the best shake flavor too. White chocolate, caramel and hazelnut. I keep trying to find excuses to pull into the line for a shake every day but the co-pilot shuts me down because we have other things set up.... ”
“ Solid local spot to try on a roadtrip thru Pendleton. It took some time to get our food BUT it was a fun experience and beats the double arches chain food! Service was excellent and our favorite items were the strawberry shake and onion rings! So yummy and worth spot! Support local ”
“ Hal's Hamburgers Oh man, I have been wanting to try this place for some time. A friend of mine has been talking about Hal's and saying we need to go. Well, finally, and boy, it was worth it. Just old school, great burgers, and chicken sandwiches. The fries were ok, but the onion rings were amazing. The burgers were exactly what I would want from a roadside burger stop. Sence the 50's they have been turning and burning. Prices are good as well. There were 4 of us, and I was about 12.50 per person. 2 double bacon cheese burgers, 1 monster burger, 1 funky chicken sandwich, 4 large shakes, medium fry, and a large onion ring. Oh, the shake, the shakes are so good, absolutely amazing. I'm definitely going back . Thank you, Hal's till next time. ”
“ Bit of the local breezy spoon. Not very fancy because the building is 71 years old. There's only been on about two families since it began in the 1950s. Bacon cheeseburger was excellent and fries were perfectly crispy. Excellent. ”
